1. Who is responsible for your data

Your personal data is processed by Alden Recruitment Ro S.R.L. (“Alden Recruitment Ro” or “we”), an employment placement agency registered in Romania.

2. What data we collect

We only collect the data we need for our recruitment and mediation services.

3. Why we use your data

• To mediate placement with employers in the Netherlands, under the mediation contract
• To verify your trade and prepare your candidate profile
• To communicate with Dutch employers and partner agencies
• To comply with legal obligations (Legea 156/2000, ITM, ANAF, ANSPDCP)
• To manage the commercial relationship with client companies
• To improve our website and services

4. Legal basis (Art. 6 GDPR)

• Performance of the mediation contract you sign with us (Art. 6(1)(b))
• Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) — in particular Legea 156/2000 and HG 1256/2011
• Our legitimate interests in running and administering the business (Art. 6(1)(f))
• Your consent, when we explicitly request it — for example, for a newsletter (Art. 6(1)(a))

5. Who receives your data

• Employers and agencies in the Netherlands that receive your profile, in particular Alden Staffing B.V. (Gorinchem) — our largest client — and other partner agencies
• Companies in the Alden Group (including EEGTRENT B.V., the sole owner of Alden Recruitment Ro) for administrative purposes
• IT service providers (hosting, email, communications) under data processing agreements
• Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — if you accept the Analytics category in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage statistics
• Public authorities where the law requires it (ITM, ANAF, ANSPDCP, police)

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

6. International transfers

Data transfers for our recruitment service happen within the European Union / European Economic Area (from Romania to the Netherlands and other EU member states). If you accept Analytics cookies, data collected by Google Analytics may also be processed by Google on servers outside the EEA (United States) under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. You can decline this category at any time from the cookie banner or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

7. How long we keep your data

• Successfully placed candidates: for the duration of the Dutch employment contract plus the archiving period required by law (TODO — confirm exact period)
• Candidates not placed: TODO months/years from the last interaction, then deleted
• Signed mediation contracts: for the period required by Legea 156/2000 and archiving rules
• Invoicing and accounting data: 10 years (Legea contabilității no. 82/1991)
• Website logs: TODO months
• Email communications: TODO years

8. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• The right to be informed about how we use your data
• The right of access to the data we hold about you
• The right to rectification of incorrect data
• The right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”), within legal limits
• The right to restrict processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to object to processing
• The right to withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
• The right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) — www.dataprotection.ro

9. How to exercise your rights

Send us your request at buna@aldenrecruitment.ro. We respond within 30 days of receiving the request, in line with GDPR. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

We use local storage in your browser for essential functionality (language preference and your cookie choice). These items are required for the site to work and do not require consent. If you accept the Analytics category in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies such as `_ga` and `_ga_<ID>` (up to 2 years) to distinguish users and sessions anonymously. We currently do not use Marketing cookies; the category is available in the banner for the future. You can change your preferences at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer; on revocation we clear the Google Analytics cookies set on this domain.

11. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. That said, no internet transmission system is 100% secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We publish changes on this page with the last-updated date. If changes are significant, we will also notify you through other channels.
